Our Site is powered and hosted by Verve Partners Limited ("Verve") who provides us with a community for the purposes of conducting market research among our customers and prospects. Verve acts as a data processor, processing your personal data on our behalf for the purposes of providing you with access to Our Site.

In the course of our dealings with you, we will collect and process personal information about you. Personal information includes any information allowing us to identify you as an individual, for example, your name, your email address or your telephone number.

We ask this information so you can join and login to the community and to help identify the best research activities to invite you to which could include the requirement to upload an image.

When you join Our Site we ask you to login or register so that you can open a profile and upload and save images, save your browsing information and your preferences and retrieve them from any of your devices.

Our Site is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.

How long do we keep your personal information?

We are required by law to keep your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which we are using it. The period for which we keep your personal information will be determined by a number of criteria, including the purposes for which we are using the information, the amount and sensitivity of the information, the potential risk from any unauthorised use or disclosure of the information, and our legal and regulatory obligations.

Data is retained for the life cycle of Our Site and in accordance with the contract between us and Verve, which may require the data to be stored for a further six months after the closure of Our Site. This is in line with data protection legislation and Market Research Society guidelines on retention of data. This may include retention necessary to meet our contractual obligations to you, to identify issues or to resolve legal proceedings.

Who do we share your personal information with?

We are a member of the Kingfisher Group of companies including B&Q, Screwfix, Castorama and Brico Depot (for more information on the Kingfisher Group please visit: www.kingfisher.com).

We may share your personal information with other members of the Kingfisher Group in connection with the purposes above and those listed below. Members of the Kingfisher Group may also use the personal information we share with them to improve their websites and other services and for analysis purposes.

We may disclose your personal information to third parties, including in the following circumstances:

  • Selected third parties.
  • In the event of winning in our prize draws or to reward you for your participation in our research activities, your name and email address will be shared and hosted onto the Vex Rewards platform, in order for us to process your prize. If you do not wish for Verve to share your details in order to process a reward, please email the helpdesk to inform us.

From time to time we may also establish relationships with third parties that will enable you to access the websites or applications (such as video players) of such third parties directly from Our Site. Each third party operates its own policy regarding the processing of personal information and the use of cookies on its website(s) or through its applications and you are advised to read the third party's privacy policy and cookies policy.

Please note that third party websites and applications are not under our control. When you click through to these websites or access these applications you leave the area controlled by us. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any issues arising in connection with the third party's use of your data (including your personal information).

Where will your personal information be processed?

Protecting your personal information.

All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers. These use a number of controls to ensure your data is kept secure at all times. As an ISO 27001 certified company, Verve has the administrative, technical and physical controls in place to keep your data secure at all times.
